So, I don't know if anyone outside of England will know what Race for Life actually is, but it's an annual event held all over England, you run/jog/walk/hop/skate/(insertothermeansoftransporthere) either 5km or 10km (3/6 miles) and get sponsored to do so. Then all the sponsorship money goes to Cancer Research UK.
Pretty nifty, huh?
I signed up to do it a few years ago but was unable to as I ended up in A&E that afternoon before the race, so this year, my friend Shell and I signed up. We aren't the fittest of people
So we didn't run it, we jogged/speedwalked our 5km in a pretty damn respectable time of 48.49minutes. Even more respectable considering Shell has asthma and had to stop twice. So my time was more like 40.49 
Either way, it made for an amusing if exhausting afternoon, and seeing all those women of different ages and walks of life coming together for a common cause was pretty mind blowing.
So here's a stamp, it's not an amazing work of art as far as stamps go, but it's a stamp that says what needs to be said. We all know someone who's been affected by cancer, whether they themselves have had it, been close to someone who's had it, or lost someone to it; and events like this help to not only raise awareness but also money for this most noble of causes.
Every 2 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer.
I think that statement speaks for itself.

Congrads on both of you for doing it though! I have asthma too so I imagine she struggled a little
